Perugia is an amazing Roman and Etruscan-era hill town in the very heart of the Umbria region of Italy. It is a magnificent and unfortunately (or maybe not :) ) underestimated tourist destination in Italy. The hills and mountains of the region surround it. The streets are curvy and steep. You will not find any straight street in the old part of the town on top of the hill.
